smidgen.io (“smidgen”) provides non-custodial USDC micropayments for websites. Contact: website@smidgen.io.
Account & dashboard
When you sign in we store the identifiers needed for your account (email and/or wallet address), project settings (site origin, payout wallets, paywall rules), and API tokens you create. We do not custody user funds.
WordPress plugin
The official WordPress plugin calls smidgen APIs to validate unlock cookies, sync paywall rules, gate bots/agents, load checkout JavaScript, and optionally fetch an agent catalog. Data may include your site origin, page paths, selectors and prices you configure, unlock tokens from cookies, and your Publisher API key (sent only to the API URL you set, typically https://smidgen.io).
Payments
Settlement happens on-chain (Base / Solana USDC via x402). We store payment metadata needed to unlock content and show publisher analytics. Wallet private keys never leave the payer’s wallet.
Logs & retention
We keep operational logs (errors, rate limits, abuse signals) for security and reliability. You can revoke agent/publisher tokens in the dashboard at any time.
